Jake: Hi Christian. How did you celebrate New Year's Eve?

Christian: Fuimos a Austria, a esquiar en la montaña.

Christian: We went to the mountains in Austria to ski.

Jake: ¿Hubo fuegos artificiales?

Jake: Was there any fireworks?

Christian: No, sólo un pueblecito.

Christian: No, it was just a small village.

Jake: ¿Tienes algún buen propósito para el Año Nuevo?

Jake: Do you have any New Year Resolutions?

Christian: Sí, quiero gastar menos dinero y perder algo de peso. ¿Y tú?

Christian: Yes. I want to spend less money and lose some weight. And you?

Jake: No, este año no.

Jake: No, not this year.

Christian: De todos modos no se cumplen.

Christian: They don't come true anyway.

Jake: Exactamente.

Jake: Exactly.
